Have we mentioned how good walking tours are??! This one this morning took us to Brandenburg Gate, Hitler's Bunker, Jewish Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie, SS Headquarters, The Berlin Wall, TV Tower, Gendarmenmarkt, Pariser Platz and a Luftwaffe HQ - just to name a few! It started pouring on the walk and was cold today, but luckily the rain didn't last too long. There were periods of sunshine but mainly it was overcast. We then discovered the Museum Island and visited the Pergamon Museum (pretty cool, showcasing parts of ruins/buildings within the building!), Neues Museum (Egyptian - when you have seen one Egyptian museum, you have seen them all!), and the Bode Museum (art and sculptures). By the end of it, we didn't want to see anymore museums and our legs were sore! Some shopping - we had to replace our luggage bag, it turns out cobble stone paths are not good for the wheels! Oops. Now to plan tomorrow's day, with a beer in hand!
