Dachau: concentration camp and memorial tour - the first major concentration camp 18kms outside Munich, the 'Academy of Terror.' The Arbeit macht frei ('Freedom through work') gate remained a cruel and sinister emblem. It also became the first memorial site in post-war Germany. An experience we will never forget, so glad that we went on this tour! The memories we took after seeing it and hearing the stories were to surely remain. After this, a beer and some German food were in order, to lighten the mood and satisfy our stomaches. So enjoyed the German cuisine, the beer was not too bad either (wait it was great..). At 10.30pm we felt exhausted after another long day.
