The day started at 6am for breakfast then we left Amsterdam at 7.30am. We had a rather nice surprise last night when another hotel guest entered our room, turned on the light then left. Then he came back to apologize. Never had that happen before! We told the hotel that we were not impressed, they were shocked too, despite the fact that they allowed that to happen. Anyways, another day of spending a bit of time on the bus. It was a different experience doing a tour. We drove eastwards into Germany and followed the Rhine Valley southwards. We took a lovely cruise along the River Rhine and viewed the castle in the town of Heidelberg. Nice and warm today with sunshine. Spent the night in Neustadt, enjoyed a nice buffet dinner and a glass of red.
