Yesterday we made our way up from San Luis Obispo to San Francisco, going via Big Sur, the dramatic and beautiful coastal route with redwood groves along the way. We stopped to see an elephant seal colony and at Carmel, a stunning little town for lunch. When we got to San Francisco we all went out to dinner with Pete an my cousin Sarah and her partner Scott. Had a really fun night going to some great bars with very good beer.

This morning we weren't feeling the best after some late night tequilas, so we had a quiet day doing some last minute shopping and our last big American lunch at Lori's. We will miss the milkshakes!

It's hard to believe this amazing trip is at it's end. We dropped our trusty van, Jaws off before. Sad to see him go. Now waiting for the train to the airport. We have had a truly fantastic time, seeing some remarkable cities and landscapes. It still hasn't quite set in yet, but has definitely been the time of our lives!
