Vegas baby! Had a great few days in this crazy place! We arrived from Death Valley on Saturday and settled in to the camping park we were staying at run by a casino, which there are heaps of! We had a really good Mexican dinner before heading off to the Strip where we checked out Caesar's Palace and the Bellagio watershow, before we got a bit weary from all the driving and headed back. The big casino's are ridiculous though, so much gambling and tacky extravagance. All the shopping malls have fake skies painted onto the roofs.
On Sunday we had the buffet brunch where we were staying, ridiculous. Pretty much any food you can imagine, not just brunch food, and dessert as well! All for $10, we left feeling very full, so we spent a good few hours relaxing in the pool and spa. When we had enough of that it was off back to the Strip in the afternoon. First we headed to the Venetian, a fake Venice. It was hilarious after seeing the real thing! We then walked all the way down to Coke Land and M&M's World. Across the road was New York, New York a massive casino modeled on New York with a rollercoaster outside. We decided to do some gambling at the MGM Grand, where they have a lion enclosure. We played while sipping on Pina Coladas, I didn't fare too well, bit Miki was lady luck! On her first slot she won $12.50, then ended up walking away with $50 from the roulette tables, not bad considering she entered with $14! With that money we were treated to an excellent dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, best burgers ever before Miki used our last $10 to double our money on the roulette table again! We walked away very happy indeed!!
