Got up early today, lots to do lots to see! Went to the 7-11 for breakfast to go... Cold bread buns are not the way forward!
We then walked to the Islamic arts museum. Never in my life been so bored! And if we'd have known we could've just walked to the national park instead of getting ripped off of our £5 taxis all the time we would have! The museum was in the list of things to do recommended by lonely planet! It's was just models of all the temples, mosques and religious places of worship all over the world! I would rather actually go and see the Taj Mahal myself rather than stand in an overly air cond room staring at a replica of it!
They even had scrolls of writing taken from the Quran that they didn't even know the meaning of?! You'd have thought they could've googled it first?!
We then walked to the Hibiscus garden's! This was beautifully well maintained gardens and koi filled ponds growing around a circular pergola! Certain hibiscus flower originate here and the street lamps around the national park are all decorated with huge bright red replicas! It's so peacefull and colourfull, I wish I'd brought a pick-nik as the weathers boiling hot too!
Then we went to Butterfly Park! We sat and had noodles to go in the souvineers shop first, nothing like a pot noodle back home! The park is another walk in aviary type like Bird Park was, thousands of butterflys flying around this slightly smaller space! Some of them are huge Teradactile-like monsters, I actually ran away from one!! The bigger ones are less brightly coloured and more docile so I managed to get photos of these but, the really vividly coloured ones flew around to quick to get a good photo! :(
Also how random that they eat pinapple? Never knew! There was a random snakeskin thrown into the bushes below, left to decompose or to act as food or something? I don't really know but I also don't want to know where they got it from... It was 2mtres long!
Saw lots of caterpillars too, some colourfull, some hairy, some spiky and some huuuge!!! Surprisingly didn't see any cocoons naturally though, there was a box full of them so maybe they pick them straight away so people don't steal them or anything, or maybe they just blend too well with the leaves?
They also have in indoors part here where you can see all of Asias insects! Some are disgusting! Huge black beetles with spikes that can fly... Country of origin; Indonesia! Not so sure I really wanna go there anymore.. :/
Then the next, final stop of the day was at Orchid Gardens! I could copy and paste the Hibiscus Gardens paragraph here... It was the same! Although lots more different colours I guess and we saw two wild Komodo dragons just wandering around! Big dragons too!
We then took a taxi home and got ripped off, paid 16Ringett=£3.20! The other day from Bird Park cost £1.20 and it's further away down the street, plus we even walked half way until we practically left the park! And now that we know it's walking distance we would have done that but he insisted he would put the meter on. He then took us some random long way home along a road I've never seen and when we pulled up at Chinatown the dodgy meter jumped from 8 to 16! There's nothing we could do though, the taxi from the other day warned us the meter should always be on the hood and never near the radio... Should've listened! And I know your gonna say its still cheap but really it's not it's more than double just because we're tourists, do we have a separate tourist price in England? No! And because the driver ranted on about how he always uses meter as he doesn't want to rip anyone off, he stays true to god and then good things come his way! I think he's going straight to the depths of hell if that's the case... :/
Rant over.
We had rice from the food court again for tea and then went home to chill out!
We decided at 9:30pm we was going to go out and meet Stephen and Weikun again in Frangipani! So we drank my bottle of vodka that Annie bought me fir my birthday!! Pre drinking in the room as we got ready was so good, I've missed it! The alcohol here is so expensive it's also a must to save money! We had mutual showers together in the shared shower cubicles held together with chopsticks! It was an experience! And we were already drunk off of our 40% before leaving at 11:00!
Got a taxi to Frangipani and spoke to the guy on the door for a while just to check our friends were already in there! He clearly thought Annie was into him and so let us in for free! Bonus :) saves us £8 each!!
Frangipani is the 'world class club' above the french restaurant in KLCC it was pretty cool and packed with really nice people! I wish we had have made it last friday! We stayed there and partied all night! Awks when I walked straight into the staff room and took a pee in the staff toilets instead of the male toilets! This is a mistake that happens a lot apparently though and the woman sat on her phone said nothing to me!!
At 3:00am we left and went for Thai food with Weikun and Stephen. It was such good food, I love it when locals take us places we would never know where here!
Then we had to walk all the way to the KLTower to Weikun's car so he could give us a ride back home :) the car park was a multi-storey and after 3spins i was ready to vom!
Got home and skyped my mum at 4:00am! I was drunk but she loved it because I was more full of love for a change! Haha! Apparently Annie said the hotel wasn't so keen though when I woke them all up laughing!! Can't see why not? Ha!
