Of course we woke up at 9:30 when the alarm was set for 8:00, why would we start waking up on time now when we've spent the last 4 months sleeping in?!
Had our malaria tablet first thing in the morning again! Huge mistake! They give us headaches and make us feel so sick! You have to eat with them but we will never learn!
So almost vommed on the hop on hop off bus today but we only have until 11:00pm left so we refused to get off to eat!
Stopped off at the museum of ethnicity just for ten minutes to get photos! It looks like the Sydney opera house in Australia! Only it's blue!
Then got back on the bus to the twin towers! Got so many photos of churches, temples and the skyline, was beaut!
We walked around the towers all of the shops are amazing but cant spend a penny! Its just cruel! We did go for lunch in a Thai restaurant here, had the chefs recommendation, Thai green curry and it tasted crap! Stalls are so much better than restaurants as well as being so much cheaper! We did get a door bell on the table though so we could ring for service :) I'm gonna buy one for our guesthouse so I can notify Annie when to turn the lights out etc ;)
In the afternoon we walked to Pavilion! Basically another huge shopping complex with a centre street like ststephens shopping centre minus the chavs and minus the crap clothes!
The first shop is Topman/topshop!! We were in our element! Never seen an English shop before! With English prices! But Asian sizes... :( there's no such thing as a 6-foot-3 Asian!! :( nearly bought three tips, cost £18 each, I would have thought twice about buying then in England but now this seems sooo expensive!!! I can get one of better quality for £3/4 at a market somewhere! Still good to look and try on clothes though!
We then walked forever to kl tower!! It's a 451 mtre high telecommunication tower with, a revolving 5* restaurant and an observation floor at the top! We walked all the way around it and set in a huge park so we ended up walking around about 8 blocks took us over an hour... In a cold city not so bad... But in Asia? Hot, sweaty, dirty, hell!
And then when we finally arrived and saw it, we thought it was an odd time to go around 5:00... Plus were now knackered from non stop walking around all day so we took a taxi back home! Well come back another day after tea at 6/7 so we can get photos if the sunset and photos of the city lit up at night :)
Before home we went to eat noodle soup from stall in china town, we love noodle soup and this is our first Malay one! Bork! It was more like cold spaghetti in drain water! It was cheap though but tasted really fishy too! :(
We then went to walk around the chinatown market and bought a new T-Shirt to go out in tonight!
We took a taxi to Blue Boy, a club thats decades old, in the city centre and supposedly packed on fri and sat nights! We went at 11:00 which is the busiest time and there was bout 6/7 other people in there! We had already paid £5 to get in too! :/ so sat and drank one beer And then left to go find the next club, it did get a lot busier but left anyway to, Foramagi! A world class club that's also 'packed' on fri night and has a michelin star french restaurant downstairs!
We couldn't find it! Directions people give you are useless and this city is more confusing than london or Paris! I guess this is the downside to foreign rd signs and not having 3G to google map everything!
Plus we never realised its the last weekend of Ramadan here now, so this is why the last club was quiet Si we decided it wasn't worth it... Went to KFC then home! I know it sounds bad but really KFC is quite good value here it's £2.20 for a full meal which is really filling and cheaper than all of the restaurants here! Don't hate me for it, too many noodles and rice for the past four months have caught up with us now :(
