Saturday today so we let ourselves have a tiny lie in ;) well, we do this most days! We went for breakfast and then had a walk around central market seen as we didn't actually see it other day! The clothes are nice, it's not a tourist market it's more fabrics and jewellery but a bit of a mix!
Bought a Chanel money bag for £1!!! Bargain! It just fits notes into it and I can slide it through my belt and wear it inside my shorts so it's basically just a secret inside pocket... Just in case I get mugged any time soon :) Everything else here is expensive though!
We left straight after Annie shouted "look, Gollywogs!" pointing at the dolls As we walked past two black men and a police officer... Smooth!
Walked into a pet store on the way home too just to see if the animals were any different as we've not seen one yet, loads of cute dogs for sale but not any particular 'Asian' breed or anything.... So cheap though, I could have bought all of them and set them all free but in Asia, not a good idea... Give them 20 minutes roaming the streets before there skinned alive and skewered on a street stall BBQ!
That was all we did today, went home and skyped my mum, she was on the way to Aidens birthday party! Having it a week early but as usual, he never spoke a word to me on Skype! :( I hope he starts talking one day soon! It was worth the call though just to see my mum dressed up, running through a tenfoot to make it there before we lost the call! Ha!
And then we had to do borung stuff like go to the internet cafe to try book diving with sharks! We want to do it in the aquarium as the one here in kl is the best and at least we're guaranteed to see plenty of sharks, and fish etc whereas, diving in the sea is a 50/50 chance! When it costs around the same (£40) to do either I'd rather have the guarantee!
That night we went out to stall down the street in chinatown to predrink and met a couple who we saw in Mixay paradise in Vientiane two months ago!
They were both real boring about life and real common, yet rich! But its sometimes a break from just me and Annie is nice, when we spend so much time together! Still, one hour with dumb and dumber, we left around midnight and got a taxi to Market Place! The second club supposed to be packed on a saturday! Lets see!
The taxi driver told us he knew the place yet he clearly didn't as he chucked us out at the side of the road! p****!! They get so temperamental and vicious after spending 15 or so minutes arguing with them telling him were not getting out until we know where we are, there's not a lot more we can do. We have no idea where this place is! So we then walked up and down a while! We were in the right street but it's so long and could be off of any of the 3.2 billion side streets!
So we then had to pay another taxi from there! £5 altogether in taxis! Ridiculous when its government enforced law that says you must pay the meter fare and not haggle or prearrange prices! This one however actually did find the place, finally!
Perhaps the most expensive club in Asia, £8 entry! But free drink too, the size of a shot glass! Inside theres an anazing view of the two Petronas towers! White sparkling lights light up the towers at night and make it look quite romantic looking from the rooftop terrace of this contemporary club! Worth the money just to see this!
Met Steven and Weikun two locals in the club and we danced away and as usual, met loads of randoms! I love the clubs here everyone is so friendly! And this club actually was busy! In fact rammed, couldn't turn around without knocking someone's drink over!
We left when the club closed at 3:00am and went to Zuch.. Didn't get let in though wearing army pants and flip flops! Totes jokes, no flip flops for annie and no shorts for me so we all (including a random very drunk Anerican guy who was now tagging along with us too) walked to Weikuns car and he drove us to some other bar across town! Real touristy and busy and another £10 to get in! The random Anerican had a word with the French owner and he said he would let us in free! Only upstairs though were the afterparty was about to open! It was dead! And we'd promised the owner we would all buy drinks all night if he let us in free, we ended up using his toilet then leaving after 5 minutes to go home! Rebs!
