Today we did nothing and slept in! Didn't take a single photo all day so today's photo is a random jungle one!
We planned on going to Batu caves today, we keep meaning to go but then we miss it! The best way to go is via local bus which is 40p!!! I remember when hull buses used to be 40p! And then a train which cost another 40p for a return! And it's far away!!
But there's no set bus stop! At the end of our street there's a triple lane junction, each road has three different bus stops so theres 9 different bus stops to choose from! Not one of them has a timetable or says which number bus stops there! Your supposed to know which way the bus is travelling to get to the right side of the road and then just hope for the best I guess! Everyone we asked where to catch the bus, sent us in a completely wrong direction! We were stood over an hour at one point crossing the road from side to side until we gave up! It's mad!
When we got back to the hotel we found out the receptionist was giving us outdated information and she sent us looking for the wrong bus at the wrong side of the road! Yet, she said noone else had ever had a problem finding it before us?!?! I don't see how when even if you knew which direction the bus is supposed to be going, theres still 4 bus stops to choose from and the buses only stop if you can be bothered to run out into the middle of the three lane road to stop them!
Anyway! Better part of the day is gone now so we will go tomorrow... We sorted our lives out instead!
I know everyone thinks travelling is really easy and when I tell my mum how stressed out we are, she laughs and says sarcastically, 'oh yeah, your life's so hard'! But seriously. We have no idea what to do when we've finished our travels in Indondsia in a month or so's time! We don't know how long to stay in Malaysia for? We love it but it is more expensive! How long to stay in Singapore for? And how to get to Indonesia from there! We have to consider what is the quickest option for our visas sake and also what is the cheapest option! We also want to do some major shopping before we come home so do we fly back via Vietnam or Thailand?! It's so hard deciding which is the best route!
We have also decided that we love travelling so much that we don't want to stop here! I want to carry on and travel so much more, like the whole world! So we could stay here and work so that we can afford a little longer or come back and save up more money and do another trip next year! But then am I going to get settled and not do it again, better to carry on travelling whilst I'm already here? Someone please just tell me what to do!!!! (not you mum!) you would just have me back tomorrow!
Went to Internet cafe in the afternoon and sorted out the shark dive once and for all! Booked it for a week on Friday... So scared but really excited too! So we booked to leave kl on Sunday! We go to Penang, a small island that is famous for really good Malay food and has lots of architecture/historic buildings as well as the largest Bhuddist Temple in S.E.Asia! Then on the way back we stop off in Cameron Highlands, this is where the Rafflesia, the largest flower/fungai can be seen in the heart of the forest! Should be a good week! So we've got the next couple days in kl to see everything, then we will dive with the sharks next Friday when we're back and leave for Melakka, one of the 45 must visit citys! Then it's bye bye Malaysia and hello Singapore :)
We sorted our rucksacks out here too, they get so unorganised with the amount of stuff we cart around and if we leave things at the bottom they get forgotten about!
So after we booked our trip got Showered and everything sorted so we know what we're doing for a change I then cut Annie's hair! First hair cut since being in Asia I told her off many times but it's still taken her 4 months to have a trim! Thought I would forget how to even cut hair but I've been wanting to do it for a while! I really really miss doing and hair and just playing around braiding and stuff! My family surely will be very happy when I return theyl hold me down to this!
