Well as you can see by the blog pic our camp looks a little different......yes that's right we have moved to a different park on the other side of town. Was funny really as Marty and l werent really enjoying the park we were at as there were alot of old permanent people living there and they bugged us. They always critisised our plans or thoughts suggesting we were idiots, and then we got a text from this couple, Bronwyn and John, that we had met at a roadstop early in the trip at Yaamba rest stop in NSW. They were in Townsville too and were staying at Rowes Bay Caravan Park on the other side of town. So we headed over for a visit the next day and checked it out, it was $50/week more expensive and a little further for me to drive to work at the hospital but after a bit of deliberation we decided to head over and make Rowes Bay our home for the next few months. Marty wasnt too happy about packing up and setting all the van up again, but again, it just proves how much he loves me lo (and to keep the peace, you know, happy wife, happy life hahaha).
So we set up and found that the couple across from us were really easy to be around. Their names are Amanda, Mark, Charlotte and Jake Woods. They are also a family travelling around Australia for a few years, from Tassie and have two young kids around Boo and Megs age. Looking forward to what this might bring to our stay in Townsville, have a good feeling we might hit it off and become really good friends.
Finally after a week we have some work being organised. Got sick of waiting for the agency to organise work for me so went up to the hospital myself and within 3 hours had a job, just had to wait for paperwork to go thru. With me down, Marty is out and about putting his name down at all the job agencies, hopefully he has the same luck l did. Im really excited and nervous at the same time about starting at the hospital, it is so big and offers a lot more experiences that l could have got back home. The people are really friendly and the organisation looks fresh and supportive, fingers crossed l can keep up and dont drown on the job.....
Things are slowly moving into place with us and hopefully we can save a bit of money for our next leg in the trip........so far Townsville looks like an awesome place with the hills and ocean. Loving it so far!!!!
