Nice and fresh. Coffee to wake up to - oh the luxury. Just another coffee and I will be able to plan a day as opposed to the night. Shall we go to the botanical gardens - fast becoming a pseudomin for doing something else ie spending money in the bars and clubs.
I am forced to sit by a power socket in the kitchen whilst I charge up the iPhone. It is a good place to admire the prison inspired decor (see picture) and ponder lifes mysteries. Why does the kitchen shut at 9pm with security more in keeping with guarding gold bars. The only things that can go are food and a kettle, but there are no bars round the tents and camp owners said nothing previously has been stolen. Must be a decor decision.
Walked back to the tent 11am to check on my little doormouse (Liz). Caught her rubbing her eyes as she made her way to the toilet - sleeping time cut short to 11 hours.
Liz is enjoying complete relaxation, the days plan is to go to the camp pool. Trying to get into a new book but kept getting distracted by figuring out who has the most bite marks, and Liz dosn't come close. Another question: women have the most visible bite marks, is that because A) they get bitten more or B) they react more to the bites?
The camp is putting on a live band tonight. A phone call from a chuft Si (just got a job) gave us the option of going into Darwin for a wet T shirt competion. Strangely Liz is up for that -when in Rome!
I am cooking the backpacker favourite of pasta and pesto. The other backpack er alternative is noodles - what came first noodles/pasta or the backpacker? The price of noodles is like a magnet to backpackers and only takes seconds out of the busy schedule of doing nothing.
