We did another short walk at Kings Canyon before starting on the long road back to Alice Springs. Apart from scenery you do not see anything. We passed a few places that had a name but they are just single building petrol stations. Here ends our stay in the red center, compared with Darwin it has been excellent, seen lots of things that are well worth seeing. Next stop Melbourne!

Just 333 km to Kings Canyon and a 7.6 km walk around the rim. The journey there was a delight, the scenery looked like someone had planted a massive scrubbery (it is so much nicer than the bland scenery up north). Some wild horses that we had to brake for added to the mystic of the surroundings. A stop over confirmed that the French and the flies know about Kings Canyon.
