Left Houston at about 10 and drove up through some really pretty hill country and farming towns. Arrived in Austin about 2 and checked into the amazing Austin Motel. Then wandered through very boho Soco neighbourhood and snacked on corn-dogs and beer. Later wandered up to 6th St for a couple of ales. Then headed to meet up with Dad and Cindy to watch the nightly bat-flight from congress bridge. Headed home relatively early (with a last-minute stop at Doc's bar).
Had a fab day today. Booked onto the Segway Nation tour and rolled about he city in the coolest way possible. Off out for a little TexMex tonight. Ariba!
