We had packed up and set off by 10am as we had about a 3hour drive ahead of us. We had breakfast overlooking the lake which was lovely, the colour of the water is such an amazing blue!
The drive back seemed to take no time at all, perhaps because I was snoozing though! We made it to Christchurch by lunchtime and dropped our stuff off at the hostel before returning Newt! We were lucky this time as the spaceship depot was just down the road so saved us trekking across the city like we had to in Sydney and Auckland!
The hostel is small but homely and everyone is very friendly! We chatted with a rather amusing Argentinian and a Liverpudlian before setting out to explore Christchurch! We went for a walk around the town, not that it took long as its quite small! It's nice to see, but again there isn't much to it like all cities/towns here!
We overworked the washing machine with all our belongings and planned some more of SE Asia!
