Again we caught the bus into town and made our way through the domain to the Auckland museum. It was a nice walk, very green and lots of chirpy birds around! We went around the museum which was interesting. We got to experience what it would be like during an earthquake in a pretend house! Quite scary and makes the one that we felt in Sheffield seem like nothing! We saw various artefacts from Fiji which was cool as we could relate to them! We also learned about the Maori way of life.
From the museum we followed one of the trails through the domain which was lovely. We then walked around the town again, covering different areas, but we're wondering if we are missing something because we cant see what the attraction is here! We know that NZ is not known for its cities, but we thought there would be more to Auckland.
We caught the bus back to the hostel where we snoozed, chilled watching tv and had dinner! We then went on the walk up to Mount Eden, the extinct volcano. There was the big crater at the top accompanied by some amazing views across the cities. You could see many of the other volcanoes in the area too! We enjoyed the view for a while before heading back to pack ready to collect the spaceship tomorrow!
