We had a very long lay in! We were shattered anyway but also fed up of all the early mornings in Fiji! Our hostel is very homely, including our room, so we couldn't not sleep in!
We caught the bus into town as we're staying in a residential area about 10mins bus ride away! As it was Sunday we knew that there wouldn't be much going on and that if the shops were open, they would only be open until lunch. We mooched down the main shopping street and changed money up and enjoyed the dull day, purely because it was so much cooler than in Fiji!! We walked around near the harbour admiring the boats and the view. We saw a racing yacht but we're not sure if it was involved in the Sydney to Hobart race! It was weird being back in a city after the way we have been living for the past week!
As there wasn't much going on and we weren't overly impressed with the city, we went back to the hostel with the intention of walking up to the top of an extinct volcano nearby. We soon decided against it as we were tired, so instead we did some planning and watched football. We went out for a walk later on around the local area. It seems a nice area with lots of big houses!
We counted all of Marks mozzie bites...30 so far..and counting! Luckily none of them have swollen too bad!
