We had a well earned lie in this morning then concocted a plan to just take it easy. First job of the day was bartering with the taxi driver for a ride down to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. It took a bit of determination but we got 150THB knocked off. One thing that is crazy in Bangkok is the traffic, you cannot get anywhere quick unless on the river and the cab ride took 40 minutes to go about 2 miles!!!!

After lunch we spent time on the Chao Praya River using the water taxi to get around ,this is an experience on it's own when the boat gets close to the pier you have to jump.The boats are cheap and good fun and we have a stop right by our guest house. We deciced to leave some of the other sights for when we return here in a few weeks after our time in Laos.

Tomorrow there will not be a blog as we are taking the overnight train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai so should arrive there Wednesday morning. Will post from there.
