It was a short 3 hour ride on the bus to our next destination,

BANGKOK!!!!! (for short)

As soon as we stepped off the bus it was full on with taxi paparazzi and we managed to negotiate a deal to get us downtown to our guest house. The New Siam II is really nice and is more like a 3 star hotel than a guest house, it even has a swimming pool!!!!

Unfortunately as travelling dictates every day the afternoon has been spent sorting out onward travel to Chiang Mai. I know we have only just arrived in Bankok, but as we have found out the trains fill up really quickly and we have had to have 1 extra day in Bangkok (which isn't a bad thing)

So now we have 4 days here and can just concentrate on the sights around the city.Tonight we are taking a walk down to Khao San Road, it is where all the backpackers hang out and there are tons of cheap places to eat and drink, although you have to be on high alert for pickpockets though no one has ever got near Mels bag not even me, the contents of it are a mystery!!!!

Within 20 minutes of arriving we met our first lady boy (harper I passed him your number!!!) he served us a late lunch.

I did contemplate joining the western men and getting a Thai lady for myself as well but decided against it when Mel scowled and curdled my milk this morning!!!!

Looks like we are stuck with each other for now and I have her mate arriving in 3 weeks as well, at least I might get a bit of peace and quiet in a corner somewhere!!!
