Today we traveled to beautiful Rome! We caught a flight from Munich to Rome and had a relatively chill today. Checked out the hotel, had a drink on our beautiful rooftop patio and waited for our rooms to be ready. Prosecco is my new favorite drink to have on a patio, accompanied by a delicious cheese plate and prosciutto and cheese pizza ;)

We checked out our rooms, got settled and wandered a little near our hotel. Turns out one of the top rated gelato places in two shops away from our hotel. I don't think we did anything too crazy all day, but it was nice to just take everything slow. We had dinner at our hotel, an authentic (and delicious) Italian restaurant. The cheese is amazing, the wine is spectacular, the homemade ravioli and pasta sauce (pictured with this post) is everything I want until I die. We saved the gelato place for dessert, and my mind was re-blown. I had a banana and mixed fruit gelato and downed the whole thing in one gulp. I'm pretty sure I will be obese by the time I get back to Canada ... if I decide to come back.

After the gelato, it was early to bed for everyone to get a solid sleep for the adventure ahead...
