Day 75 - Gili Trawangan

Well Si was right it looks like we wont be getting a decent nights sleep while we're here, the lizards aren't the problem though its a little ginger tom cat. The people that stayed here before us must have been feeding it or something as it woke us both up at the crack of dawn meowing outside the door ... the meows sounded suspiciously like oscar meows as well (spooky!)

Anyway after accepting we weren't getting back to sleep (and i wasn't allowed to let the cat in) we headed out for brekkie and to kill some time in the communal garden while the room got cleaned. We had another day lazing about before heading for dinner at a restaurant just next to the pier. Whilst we were waiting for our grub we could see some guys fishing just off the pier and all of a sudden a big shole of fish appeared, it was so cool to watch and happened about 2-3 times (wonder what bait they were using??)

After dinner we came back to the room to clean up before going for tea. Everywhere seems to be re-opening as normal now after the ramadam celebrations are over so plenty more options for food tonight. We decided to go into Sama Sama where we watched the footy the other night as even though its cheap to begin with they were doing buy one get one free on local spirits (you know its cheap when soft drinks are dearer!) and we also got a free can of Bintang each with the meal. We were both over the moon when they brought the free can of beer over and then realised it said 0% ... didn't taste like beer at all so we now know why they were giving them away.

A few drinks later and it was time to call it a night so back to the room for hopefully a better nights sleep tonight!
