Day 74 - Gili Trawangan

As i wake up i decide to put yesterdays antics behind me, take a deep breath and smile ... ah thats better.

We head for our continental breakfast and it's off to the beach (its a hard life still) and then for a dip in the rock pools.

Mid afternoon the clouds started to form and we thought then would be a good time to grab some late lunch. We hit the cash point on the way back which was now working and treated ourselves to some grub.

On the way to get food we spotted the local icecream man, as there aren't any roads on these islands the icecream man is actualy a guy on a bike with a cool box strapped to the back, his bike also has a tannoy attached so when he rides it plays and annoying little jingle that gets stuck in your head (we keep seeing him now so the tunes always around!)

As we were just about to pay the bill the local dvd man arrived and we had a flick through his collection as Rho wanted Eclipse and Cats and dogs 2, after some bartering we got him down to about 75p each and we left.

We got back to the room to drop the dvds etc off and to get cleaned up for tea. Most of the places on the island are still shut due to people taking it off for Ramadan so we tried our local Wrap a snapper, I went for "The Codfather" Which was a fish burger (red snapper) which was covered in breadcrumb and fried, its a white fish and tasted just like a massive fish finger but was very nice .. Rho was adventurous and went for a chicken sandwhich.

We then came back to the room and chilled out as we were both stuffed, we decided to try our cheap dvds Eclipse worked fine however cats and dogs 2 was in Russian, although it did have english subtitles but it's not really the same apparently ..

As we were getting ready to hit the hay there was a loud sound above us .. yep more lizards .. the ceiling is made of wood and there are a couple of geckos living in there making their weird little noises Rho loves it and now believes she can speak gecko and makes the noise back at them all the time! i'm wondering if i'll ever get a decent nights kip again...
