Rest day before flying to LA/Palm Springs. We didn't do much. Dropped the car back to rental car lot at DFW and got shuttle bus back to hotel. Across the road from the hotel is another massive outdoor centre with an Uncle Bucks Brewhouse and Grill. We walked through the outdoor centre to get to the grill. This shop was a slightly different set up to the one in Tennessee. They have a glass cage with three rattlesnakes in there which was cool to see.There is no shop in Australia that would even come close to these places. Boats, ATVs, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and everything to do with outdoors. Probably as big or bigger than a Costco. Uncle Bucks was very well laid out but offered the standard American grill food. Starting to get a bit sick of grills. We went back to Love and War Texas for dinner and a few beers. Early night as we have to get to the airport early. Americans generally get a bad wrap in the press. I find most Americans really friendly and helpful. They are always polite and try to assist when they can. You obviously get bad ones but in this trip they have been few and far in between. Off to LAX tomorrow, not looking forward to the TSA security crush. It has been in the news every day here about massive delays especially leading up to the Memorial Day long weekend this weekend.
