It is about a 30k drive from NOLA to the Louisiana Swamp Tour Company but an easy drive. We selected the small airboat ( max 6 passengers) rather than the bigger one up to 15 people, glad we did as it seems more personal with lees people. Left Couchatta and had a fairly uneventful trip through Lafayette and Baton Rouge to New Orleans. We were travelling on Highway 10 and crossed an area called Henderson Swamp. Not a great start to the day, it is ******* down. Looking at the weather forecast it is raining all over Texas and Louisiana. Took us about 40 minutes of driving before we actually hit country. There are oil refineries everywhere. New Orleans is about 600k away not sure if we would make it. Traffic quite thick and rain still ******* down.
