Rest day before flying to LA/Palm Springs. We didn't do much. Dropped the car back to rental car lot at DFW and got shuttle bus back to hotel. Headed off early to get to Galveston and check out the area to find a suitable hotel. Leaving Dallas was interesting, using the Satnav we hit the huge interchange and all the ramps have changed, it took us 3 attempts with going around the block to get in the right track. I never really watched Dallas the TV show but Karen did so off to Southfork Ranch we go. It is only about a 20 minute drive out of Dallas. On the freeway out I saw one of the best examples of US overpasses I have seen to date, roads and flyovers going in all directions. The photos attached do not do it justice.
