It is time for the holiday to come to an end. 40 days of living out of a suitcase, dining out every day and consuming many drinks. The weather has been fantastic here, at least 30C each day, yesterday up to 36C. When visiting Palm Springs we have always enjoyed the trip up to Mt San Jacinto national park in the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Checked out the weather at the top of the mountain online, max is expected to be 50f (about 14c). We unpacked the puffy jackets to take up with us. Had nothing much planned for the day. Spent the day checking out the surrounds of Palm Springs. Drove past the Palm Springs Aviation Museum, didn't bother going inside as I have been to quite a few. One thing I was surprised to see was Kangaroo Paw plants, I am assuming they are Kangaroo Paw or a type of. Most of the gardens around Palm Springs Town centre are cacti Gardens with so many different types of cacti. Had an uneventful afternoon and night.

About 20k west of Palm Springs is the Desert Hills Premium Outlets, they are massive, the largest in California with over 180 designer stores. Enough to keep you going all day. I normally don't like shopping but even with the ordinary dollar you can get some great bargains here and stock up for a year or two. Our flight was due to depart at 9am. We decided to get to the airport early to allow time to get through the TSA crush. We caught the 6am shuttle to the airport. The check in and baggage drop was surprisingly very efficient. Our boarding passes have TSA PRECHK printed on them, We had no idea about this before but because we filled out the ESTA before coming to America we are considered as TSA Pre Checked and This allowed us to go through the express lane.
