Well first 3/4 of day was repeat of yesterday. Miles of nothing. Managed to find a coffee stop at a bakery after 2 2/2 hours driving. Bakeries are huge here. Only shops in town often and more like take away restaurants. Then to Parkes to lunch where only place open was subway. Good by me as I love their salads! In the middle of nothing on a major highway going 110 km there was a herd of bulls walking along and on the road. Unreal. Only animals we saw in hours and...

Well what a drive. Seven hours of driving to break the camels back and make our trip home 4 days instead of 6 Can't think of how people live here...7 hours of driving from Adelaide across country to Hay and seeing absolutely nothing...towns have 3 houses each...nothing open as Easter Sunday...but probably nothing anyway...no cows, no sheep, no houses...just a vast land of flat nothing...roads so straight you can see for miles. unbelievable!!, and so flat....so lo...

Up early and out to find nice. Real fast spot. Found pedestrian mall and after dining walked up and down it. Got some pills at chemist and some wine and back to room. Then a short stroll down to river front where we went for a walk and took the river tourist boat. Very nice. Then we found a great spot by water for lunch and then went to a lego exhibition which Fred was dying to see. So many people there and nice to see that some kids are not tied to their compute...

Interesting day. Not! Poured all night so left Grafton early....like 6:30 am...just dawn...thought we'd get out before roads closed! Already pacific highway south of Grafton was closed. Followed Tom Tom directions to Coffs Harbour. At one point went through very high flood water then 10 minutes later found another. At that point I was extremely scared. Turned around and went back thru first one. Literally just made it. A guy in a 4wd watched me and decided not to...

Beautiful,day...quite hot and sunny. Drove to tweed heads where we stopped for coffee opposite beautiful tweed river. Then to Ballina for lunch....picked up,a take away and sat by the river. It was so windy fred almost lost his sausage roll! Would be a nice spot if not so windy. Very wide river. Got to,our hotel in Grafton which was called Hotel Motel 5. It was 8 rooms at back of pub.
