Beautiful,day...quite hot and sunny. Drove to tweed heads where we stopped for coffee opposite beautiful tweed river. Then to Ballina for lunch....picked up,a take away and sat by the river. It was so windy fred almost lost his sausage roll! Would be a nice spot if not so windy. Very wide river. Got to,our hotel in Grafton which was called Hotel Motel 5. It was 8 rooms at back of pub. Very average rooms but clean and roomy. We had a scotch and played crib for a while...The big surprise was the restaurant was excellent. We ordered garlic cheese bread to start which was yummy but filled our tummy. Fred had beautiful pork and I had chicken topped with Avocado and prawns....very nice!
