Day 116-117
We arrived in Queenstown on the evening of the 21st after an eventful journey. On our way we were driving down a highway when a tyre from another car came across from the other side of the road and hit our coach head on.
The driver performed an emergency stop and then got out and assessed the damages. The windscreen had been cracked, the front grill and bumper had been ripped off and the entry steps to the coach had been bent. It was lucky that he stayed calm as we could've easily ended up off the road. We obviously needed a new coach so the driver called in at the nearest depot.
Once back on track we arrived about an hour late and the driver was kind enough to drop us off at our hostel.
On the 22nd we went into the town to arrange our adrenaline activities...bungy jump and skydive. The weather was cloudy and the forecast said that a snow storm was heading in so we booked for the following day.
The rest of the day we took a walk around Lake Wakatipu through the Queenstown Gardens before heading back to the hostel to watch a film infront of the log fire. Before bed we had a marathon game of Scrabble, if the Guiness Book of Records had've been there we're sure we would be in there for the longest.
