Day 13
Tonight is our final night at the Chilli Blue Backpackers and it hasn't been as bad as we thought. We got up and updated the blog and sorted the accomodation as we had none for tomorrow.
Then we took Als Uncles advice to go to Manly beach on the ferry. On our journey we met good ole' Bill. He told us how Fort Dennison had been built for the Crimean War but the Russians never came (from Korea, as Lorna thought he said Korean War). Australia found out a year later the war had ended. He pointed out a nudist beach and a few other landmarks. Then he went onto telling us where to buy bargain food and drink in Manly and took us there. Very sweet guy.
We fell asleep on the beach and Al burnt his back and Lorna turned into Rudolph. It was the hottest day we had and we loved it. So much so that when Manly beach was going shady we took a stroll over to Shelly Beach, on Bills advice. On the way we saw a wild Lizard that was at least 30cm.
Shelly beach was beautiful and we saw a wedding happening. We only stayed here for a short period as it was getting cold.
On our ferry back we took some photos and discussed dinner. We wanted; kebab, pizza, crisps, sushi, chocolate, cookies, donuts, liquorice, curry and basically everything we couldn't afford. Instead we tucked into our delicious 10p noodles..yummy!
