Day 39
After collecting a 'Whats On' leaflet from the Tourist Information Centre we decided to take a walk up to the Lighthouse. This was the same Lighthouse we had seen from Lennox Head. We had to walk across Main Beach and Clarke's Beach then up past Watego's and Little Watego Beaches to the Lighthouse. The views were amazing, you could see Mount Warning in the distance which is where Captain James Cook named as the half way point between Byron and Brisbane.
We then descended back to Little Watego's beach to see the most Easterly point in Australia and stopped to take some photos.
We climbed down onto the beach and decided to stay for the rest of the afternoon and enjoy the views. Al was sat on the rocks looking out for Humpback whales and saw a pod of dolphins and called Lorna over. As Lorna joined Al the dolphins started to swim round the corner near to the beach so we followed them round. The quickest way round was next to a pool of water, but Al slipped in to his disgust as he later realised that his iPod was in his pocket.
Lorna decided to cheer Al up by drawing Hopscotch in the sand followed by bowls. Finally Lorna made a drawing of our current setting with Lorna and Al in the picture.
