London!!!!!! We were so excited to land!! It is so ridiculously gigantic it's like 13 Melbourne airports in one but it's split up into 5 terminals and you're all like whaaatt?!
We tried to get on an earlier flight to Venice, which we could've done for a small fee of $487AUD each and we were like ... Naaahhhh. So after lots of getting confused and asking random British people we for told to line up for the UK border which only took an hour. Which we later found out we didn't need to do, but we killed an hour and got our first passport stamp so we were raising the roof a bit.
Once we got out of customs we only had 6 hours left to wait, so we found a cute little airport pub and had breakfast and beer and cider and our little waitress was so sweet and British!! :)
When we went to pass through departure the gates to get to Venice, naughty Brendy left the tube of Vegemite in his backpack instead of taking it out and placing it in the tray, so he got pulled up and it was like we were on border patrol!! He got it confiscated and Brendan yells out to the woman while she was taking it away "my sister gave me that!!!" poor Brendy got so sad :(
After waiting for about 4 hours we FINALLY got to board flight 4 of 4!! To Venice!!! Brendan tried to make friends with this strange guy who tried to take his seat while he got up to go to the bin. Brendy asked him where he was from and his response was to point up to the sky. I thought he was telling Brendan he was a god from the skies, but when I looked to see what he was pointing at, it was the board saying Venice. So then he just sat there and made it awkward. Good one Mr. Mambo Italiano. And with that, we boarded Venice bound. The flight was an awesome one, in terms of sights. We flew over the English Channel and it's so small from the sky! You can see the UK and France at the same time, it's so strange, seeing as coming from Australia the closest place is what, Tasmania? Lol. And that's all on that subject. We flew over Paris! And we saw the Arc De Triomphe from the sky!! It looks amazing!! And we flew over the alps too!! Also amazing! So pumped to get this holiday started!!
