We arrived into Prague from Munich at around 2:30. We caught a train and a tram and some how made it to our hostel even with weird Czech directions.
We didn't do much the night we got in. We were still wrecked from Oktoberfest even though we passed out early and got something like 10 hours sleep. We went down to the ATM and took out some money. It's so strange!! We took out 2 grand in Czech dollars and got two 1000 dollar notes. They're very pretty and purple. We went to a Mexican restaurant around the corner from the hostel for dinner. It was so cheap and so good! I had a tequila sunrise which equaled 3 Aussie dollars! I was like this is the s***!! While we were munching away, a dog made it's way around the restaurant to say what's up. He managed to sneak his way into the kitchen as well. After dinner we went to buy some water and deodorant which cost us 109 Czech dollars. We found that hilarious for some reason.
The next morning we woke up feeling refreshed after sleeping in a bed! It was such a good sleep. We spent the morning getting s*** did. We did our laundry thank god. And then we went down to the post office to send more stuff home. We managed to scary ally send it all this time unlike in Bordeaux. That was a huge weight off of our shoulders - literally. Kapow. Then, we headed into the city. We walked along the river until we found some form of civilization. We had a bike your booked later on in the afternoon so we just walked around and chilled to kill time before that. We got some schnitzel with potato salad. It was amazing. Even for pork. We walked into the main square and they had all these food and drink stalls. We got a sausage and Czech donuts and a beer and cider. We ended up getting a little bit drunk before our bike tour which resulted in a very uncoordinated lisa. I rode into the back of Brendan hahaha. We were the only two that did the bike tour so we had the guide to ourselves. We did the castle tour, so we started off in the main square and stopped at a few main places along the way to the castle, which is up a giant hill. I couldn't get the gears on my bike to be normal so I had to get off my bike and walk it up the hill. Then I realized it was because I had it on the hardest gear. My bad. We the top of the hill had amazing views of all Prague. You could see everything, it was so beautiful.
I actually really liked Prague. It was a shame that we only had two nights there. I can see us going back again, but next time we would stay somewhere more central so we could see more of the town.
In the morning, we hopped back on the busabout bus and headed towards Vienna. Our bus driver looked like the little bald guy from Little Britain and he got so mad at people putting their heads on the window while they slept. Also, I didn't hear the warning about chocolate milk in Prague and got chi late milk at our first rest stop. I took one sip and left it in the Carpark. Prague = nice, Prague chocolate milk = scary.
