Today we went to the Iningai Nature Reserve. It's located on the outskirts of Longreach. We did the Coolibah walking track. Was a nice walk that took you around the gin gin river. Afterwards we went to the Longreach markets. Lots of tea cosies and scones - good to see the CWA is going strong is outback Qld. We then headed east from Longreach to Ilsfricombe. Today we woke up to the distinct noise of Brolgas. There's a few that have made the caravan park their home. The caravan park is massive with lots of sites, amenities blocks, a pool, spa and it's own outback style restaurant. The caravan park is situated along a botanical walkway so this morning we walked into town, picked up some tourist info, had a wander up and down the main street. After leaving Carisbrooke this morning we travelled into Winton. Winton is known for dinosaurs, opals and waltzing matilda. We stopped and had a look at the Waltzing Matilda Centre, we also saw the Corfield and Fitzmaurice building - a general store building from 1916 in great condition.
