Today we left Karumba and headed towards Kingfisher Camp. Kingfisher Camp is around 50km east from the QLD/NT border. We travelled back through Normanton (home of the purple pub and 8m crocodile - a replica of one that was shot in the local river). We travelled west to Burketown - stopping at Burke and Wills Camp (119). The road to Burketown wasn't too bad - some corrogations initially however I think to Josh's dissapointment the road was mostly tar. From Burketown we went past Doomadgee (skirted round the town) then onto Kingfisher. The camp is part of Bowthorn Station. Not many other campers but a couple of cane toads... Next stop: lawn hill!
