After a very sleepless night, in a room with no windows to the outside we woke up glad it was morning (Not that we could tell!). We had a wash with babywipes (A festival shower as Matt would call it!) and decided we would tackle the shower stuck to the wall next to the door tonight, Matt is panicking about the cables that are hanging out! We then headed downstairs to sort getting to Phonm Penh tomorrow (We have decided to head to the orphanage early!) - Think we are both struggling for purpose... or a beach!
We paid 14USD to get us there which will take 8hrs. Breakfast consisted of a baguette & butter - plain was on the menu for Matt's dodgy stomach. A tuk tuk took us to Angkor Wat, the biggest religious building in the World, built by a Hindu King in the 12th century. Positivity was running high in the first 3 temples & Char made a great tour guide.... thanks to the Lonely Planet book from Sig & Vic, people paid 20USD for this service. When we hit the 7th temple (Where Tomb Raider was filmed) cramp & blisters kicked in.
We quickly headed back to 'Pub Street', Siem Reap where we grabbed pizza, chips and 0.50USD beers. Char is also up to 3 mosquito bites:Matt 0!
After chatting to a couple from London, an 12 hr journey yesterday didn't seem too bad.... they had a 23hr journey!!!!
