LeJoG Blog June 15th: Day 14 - The Final InstallmentFor the first time had to set off wearing leggings and a waterproof! Rained for about 20 minutes then was just overcast and cold. Day was in 3 parts really. First a ride alongside Loch Navar, then the river Navar, where we spotted several salmon fishermen. Then we reached Bettyhill, where we saw the Pentland Firth for the first time. A very challenging middle section of about 30 miles, then flat and long for the final run into John O'Groats. Overall a very windy, long and testing day at just under 10 hours since we set off, 75 miles, including a detour as the Police had closed the road due to an RTA!John O'Groats a very welcome sight after 980 miles and 14 days.Mission Accomplished!SH & GLG
