Another good-bye this morning, this time to Paolo. We got up at around 8.45am and I went and got the free hostel breakfast - breads and spreads. Woke up so late and didn't get out of our room until after 1pm. Craig has taken the Stray Bus, and Mel and Paolo have hired a car to go out to Milford Sound. I didn't even hear anyone get up! We went to get a hangover cure - FergBurger again! Shared a Mr Big Stuff with fries and Wasabi Mayo. Mmm, good stuff. We walked it off though, sort of. It was so nice to have a lie in today. We didn't even set our alarms! Today was the BIG day. Bungy jump. I checked in at the Station office at 12.50pm. I was more excited than nervous. Therese also had to check-in as a spectator. It normally costs $50 (£25) to be a spectator, but the other day when we were booking it, Mel said to the guy can't they get a discount. Woke up with a little bit of a hangover, but not too bad. Didn't wake up that late either, it was around 9.30am. We got ourselves ready and met Mel and Paolo in a place called Patagonia Chocolate Bar. Had a coffee in there to perk us up a bit. I am not kidding, I was still full from yesterday's FergBurger. I had no breakfast. Craig met us at Patagonia's, then we all walked up to the Gondola. Me, Paolo and Craig went up but Therese and Mel didn't feel like doing...

Time to make our way to Queenstown. Again, incredible scenery on the drive - lakes, mountains etc. The lakes are not mucky brown, they're blue and green. We made a quick stop for photos at Lake Hawea. Got our group family photo! Then we pressed on to Lake Wanaka. First we dropped Mel and Paolo off at the skydive centre (!), then went to Wanaka town centre. Wanaka is a really lovely place. It reminds me a bit like the lake district in a way, but it's much nicer. ...
