It's been great to not set our alarms again and have a lie in. Still up for 10am though, we're not that lazy. The weather was fantastic again when we woke up, blue skies with just a few clouds dotted around. Mel wasn't well today and she wasn't too good yesterday either, so just me, Therese and Craig set out on a 4 hour hike through the Hooker Valley. It was a lovely walk up to the Hooker lake. We had fantastic views of Mt Cook and got some great pictures. And ...

We all had a really good lie in today and feel so much better for it. Plus we woke up to glorious sunshine, and absolutely stunning views of the snow-capped mountains around us. We saw none of this yesterday because it was really misty and miserable. So, it's Valentine's Day today...well, we decided not to do anything at all for it - we've no money!! We were going to go for a bit of a hike today, but instead, at 2pm we went off to do the Glacier Experience. Me...

Felt like a really long journey today. We're all feeling really tired for some reason, so we're all looking forward to Mt Cook where we're spending some extra nights. We made a stop along the way to see some round boulders that apparently look like dinosaur eggs...the best bit was having poached eggs on toast! The drive today was again a lot like English countryside, until we got closer to Mt Cook. The weather was miserable as well all day, but it doesn't matte...
