We have had a couple of quiet days at the pool and around where we are staying. On Wednesday night we went out for a few drinks and watched some live music which was pretty good.
Yesterday we booked a trip to the flooded forest and floating village. As we are here in in dry season there wasn't much flooding or floating going on! It was still amazing to see all the houses and buildings built on massive stilts and try to imagine what it's like in the wet season. We started by walking down through part of the village before getting on a boat to go down the river that runs between the rest of it while it's dry. We carried on down the river into the lake which is incredible. It's one of the biggest in Asia and as you come out of the river you can only see water in front of you, like being on the edge of the ocean. We went out to a restaurant that floats in the lake to watch the start of the sunset before getting back on the boat to watch the rest of it from on the lake itself.
We had planned to go out and have a look around the night market when we got back but we're both pretty tired so just grabbed some food and an early night instead!
We are at the start of our last week in Siem Reap and in Cambodia, so not sure what we are going to do in that time yet.
