Wednesday morning we woke up and got hair cuts. Mine is now really short as turns out too much sun and sea takes it's toll on hair and mine was a mess! We then had the day free so lazed around the lagoon before catching the bus in the evening.
The overnight bus got us into rainbow beach in the morning around 9am after quite a bit of sleep which was nice! We had a leisurely day, read by the pool for a bit and then got ready to go to our safety briefing at 4pm.
For starters we got the wrong bar so not the best start and then the whole talk was a bit of a shambles until a rather scary gentleman came in, sent the useless girls away and took charge! What should have been an hour talk ended up lasting 3 hours and included the most boring DVD of which we were later told to ignore most of the content!
Back in our room we decided to have an early night ready for the early start however this was not to be! People who had ended their tour today were in the mood to party meaning no sleep for us. This also included hair dryers being used at 2.30am after promising us they'd be quiet!
Friday morning we were up early, bags to storage and enjoyed a free pancake breakfast. Then it was time to pack the jeeps ready for our stay on Fraser Island.
