Well D-Day finally arrived and the emotions were running high! I was fine until it came to saying goodbye to my dogs and then the floodgates opened. It was a lot harder than I had imagined! At the airport we said goodbye to family and friends and proceeded through to departures where we sat and waited to board the flight which was surprisingly on time (if your from guernsey you'll understand our surprise at this - a good omen I hope).
