We woke up early for a reef tour which did turn up after the drama and confusion the day before. The coach took us all the way to port Douglas where we hopped on a ferry to the quicksilver pontoon. A private platform in the middle of the ocean which is nice as only a limited number of people per day allowed so no overcrowding! A lot of people were sea sick but by some miracle I wasn't - the travel sickness tablets from Thailand were obviously quite effective! ...

So Friday morning I wake up to a voice message from the reef people saying we've missed our pick up which is funny as we're not booked in till tomorrow. Immediately we go downstairs to check on this only to find the tour desk closed until Monday - oh dear! Thursday Woke up this morning and headed downstairs to meet up with our guide. Today we have done uncle Brian's which is a tour to various lakes and waterfalls in and around the cairns area. First stop was in Bibinda where we trekked through the rainforest a bit to see the rather large boulders and then had a swim. The water was amazing - so clear and clean! Tuesday We woke up early in order to pack yet again and move to our new hostel in Glebe. We hopped in a taxi to take us the 20 minute journey but we soon started realising that there wasn't a whole lot to do in Glebe. We dropped our bags off and headed out to investigate.
