For our final day we headed to Lake Wabby. This involved a 45 minute hike to the sand dunes and lake which was full of rather large catfish with the ability to sting you - need less to say I was no longer swimming there after finding this out! We still did the walk and sat in the sand watching others roll down the dunes into the water and then did the hike back. A sausage BBQ lunch awaited us on our return and then it was time to get the ferry back.
Back at the hostel we cleaned out the jeeps and headed to our room only to find nina our friend from cairns there weirdly. We had a bit of a catch up and then by 4 o'clock I had passed out and remained asleep until the next morning!
