Woke up early to get ready and head to the Nevis bungy swing after enjoying breakfast on the veranda and watching the sun come up.
We checked in at the bungy shop in town and then waited for the bus to take us to Nevis. During the bus journey I managed to work myself up into a bit of a frenzy. At the top of Nevis we pretty much had to go across to the swing straight away. However in order to do this we had to cross a suspended bridge - not good for me who was always freaking out. So I decided to do this with my eyes shut! On the platform they fitted us with harnesses, still with my eyes shut. Then they lead us to the edge, still with my eyes shut. However by this time tears were starting to fall as well. We then had to lift our legs and sit into the harnesses and hover over the edge. Mel did this right away, my legs decided to stop moving at this point and scared would be an understatement to describe how I was feeling.
One of the guys asked us to look back once I eventually did this and upon looking back pressed the button releasing us. We were free falling for what seemed like ages before going into a swing!
We then swung for another few minutes whilst they pulled us back in. I was extremely relieved that it was now over and once back up we headed to the shop to view our photos and video. These are hilarious!
We went back to the hostel for lunch and then met up with Laura who we had met in Sydney at the beginning of our Australia trip. We met at Patagonias where I decided to try out the ice cream which was amazing - mocha cream, chocolate and cookies and strawberries and cream!
In the evening we made dinner and joined others in the hostel in watching pulp fiction and the first 2 episodes of game of thrones.
