We woke in the morning and had breakfast before making our way back in to town to catch the bus to Picton.

There the bus shortly arrived and we dumped bags before grabbing a panini and setting off.

3 hours later and we were back in Picton again where we checked in at the Villa and then headed into town to pick up a few things including more reading material as we are racing thorough our books.

The rest of the afternoon we relaxed at the hostel, had dinner and enjoyed the apple crumble again!

After a not a great sleep thanks to inconsiderate drunk room mates we woke up, showered and checked out of the hostel.

With our bags it was hard to do anything so we just sat in the common area until it was time to catch the ferry to the North Island.

The journey from Picton to Wellington took 3 hours and overall wasn't too bad. Off the boat we found our bags and looked for somewhere to wait for the bus. Everything looked shut so we asked for directions. A woman said our bus would go from platform 9 so we set about finding this....clearly it's like platform 9 and 3/4 in harry potter as it didn't exist.

In then turns out we are supposed to get on a shuttle and go to the train station where our bus will leave from platform 9! Since of the bus company to tell us this! Anyway we just about made it to the last shuttle and off to the station we went.

Just reaching it at rush hour in Wellington we sat and people watched with our mac Donald's until the bus arrived.

We loaded the luggage and hopped ok board grabbing a row of seats each and placing bags around us like a fort so we could attempt to sleep! Bus gets in to Rotorua at 3am and we have to be up at 6am for our glow worm cave tour.

This was by the far the busiest bus we've had! And to top it off in front we had a guy smelling of weed and behind a man who just plain stank! Not the best set up for getting as much sleep as we could!
