We rang the campervan company this morning and were told to go to a garage in Gisborne which was one of their service centres. When we got there it was closed but the boss was about so looked at our power problem. He said the sockets needed replacing but as it was a Sunday, nowhere was open so we arranged to come back the next morning.
We drove into the town centre and found that parking was free on a Sunday - yey! We decided to go to the pictures since we'd seen most of Gisborne the day before. We opted to see 'Crazy Stupid Love' starring Steve Carrell and Julienane Moore which was on at 1pm so we still had a few hours to kill. After browsing in a Japanese 'tat' shop and a really good bookshop we walked past McDonalds and saw a sign that made us very happy - 'free wifi'. We spent a few hours in there making use of the wifi and getting some lunch. Then it was time for the film.
We walked into the cinema and were greeted by an old woman behind the counter who asked 'Crazy Stupid Love?' (it was a very small cinema!). The screen was small (only 40 seats) and we were the only 2 there so enjoyed our own private screening of the film which was very good!
Afterwards we went straight to the campsite (a cheaper one than last night) and spent the rest of the day playing chess and reading. We went to sleep shivering as we had no power, but soon warmed up.
