I dropped my phone last night and I didn't realise it was set to two hours behind the actual time, meaning Dave had to wake me up to do the cleaning this morning. Like most Saturday mornings, it felt like it was never going to get done! Alice also woke up late, as she slept through her alarm, and she was supposed to be on reception, so in a selfish way, I appreciated the help I had from her (Dave made her help me and Matts do the cleaning/housekeeping).
Didn't do much in the day, apart from watch Jackass 3-D. Alice spent the afternoon with Dave watching CCTV footage trying to find out who stole her bag. The only people who was at the hostel who weren't guests were two French girls (who were staying in the neighbouring hostel), and one of them had been telling Alice she had her iPhone nicked the other day, and Alice was pretty sure it was them, especially as the clip of one of them leaving the hostel made it look like she grabbed something from the side. Dave wrote a letter to Woodduck (their hostel) explaining the situation. According to another guest of theirs, the girl was going to take the $200 dollars, chuck her bag over the fence and then leave the hostel, but as she was leaving she ran into one of Alice's friends from Waterfront (Alice's old hostel), and so she had to give it back to Alice face to face. She had a bit of a nerve asking Alice if she wanted to drink goon with her that evening!
Josh gave me and Alice the all clear that we could book 11th May of work- Julian Marley (i.e. one of Bob's sons) is playing at the tank arts centre in Cairns. Apparently it's one of the best places in the world to see live music as the curvature of the tanks makes the sound bounce off it (or something).
