We left early because we were driving 270 miles to stay at another Harvest Hosts called Silver Dollar Winery in Johnson City TX. We are in the hill country of Texas where there are over 80 wineries nearby. We are parked up on a hill with a good wind blowing but it’s 87 degrees. One of our tire monitors kept registering really low the entire drive which was worrisome but when we got here, we were able to get it back to normal by just switching it with another one. Now all we have to do is remember that change. The winery was a lot of fun. The owners were a friendly couple who even checked in us after a wonderful sunset. Mark was a down to earth guy with a great sense of humor who told us about each wine we tasted. We all tasted several wines, had a good pizza, and managed to spend over four hundred dollars between us on 6 bottles of wine, fresh eggs, and two baseball caps. After that we all took a rest and then watched the sunset in our chairs outside. Really nice day!
