06/28/21 We drove 237 miles on I80, I287, I87 and I95 (with the obligatory traffic/accidents), bypassing New York City by crossing over the Tappan Zee Bridge. When we left, we weighed at the CAT scales in West Greenwich – steer axle 3580, drive axle 9700, and trailer (car) axle 3400. We stopped again because we wanted to know our weigh coming home - steer axle 3740, drive axle 9520, and trailer axle 3540. (At least we've shifted the weight around better.) Shannon was more anxious because of traffic and was very glad to be out of the RV at home. She is staying pretty close to me so not sure she understands we are actually home and won't be traveling tomorrow.
Stay tuned. In the next few days I'll be working on a summary of this trip and lessons learned. But for tonight, we are resting after 16 days of just traveling. We are both tired and glad to be home.
