05/09/21 Unexpectedly we are still at Mono Lake. We were getting ready to leave when one of Patti and Wayne’s slides would not go in. Everything possible was tried but without success. Since not only is this Sunday but also Mother's Day, it's not surprising they were unable to reach anyone. We are staying an extra day to find a RV repair service to fix it or at least get it to retract and lock so we can travel. We are grateful that we can continue to stay in a nice campground and are not having an issue while on the road. We are all working on projects and cleaning up. All our plans will need alterations now but more on that when we know about the slide solution. Asking for fingers crossed for a simple and quick fix.
Note to self – my hands are eternally dry, cut, scabbed, and dirty with everyday RV life. No amount of washing seems to make any difference. Every nail is broken. My grandmother would be disgraced by my unladylike hands. Any chance gloves will come back in fashion by the time I get home?
